No, they'd all fight back. We wouldn't want anyone to get hurt. And have you ever been to Africa? It's vast and beautiful.
That was a spoof, right? Tell me yes.
It wasn't exactly a spoof. But it wasn't a serious proposal either, as you realized. It was a straw-man for an academic exercise. A little outside-the-box what-if. I really do have a hands-off point of view. That was all discussed on the thread a while back. I don't remember if you were around for it or not. It was during that discussion that X got dumped on for saying that we shouldn't intervene in Somalia despite the slavery going on there, part of the reason her values are questioned, I suppose. I remember agreeing with her on Somalia. But I digress...

You know, with Africa weakened due to ineptitude and AIDS, maybe in ten or twenty years, China might start thinking that Africa would be a good place for its people to spread out. Africa's a sitting duck. What, if anything, would we do about that? Would it be smart or moral for us to take it preemptively?
Just noodling, Laz. A little futuristic fantasy. Your namesake would appreciate it...
