Not coy at all, just don't want to be on the receiving end of your Hate crimes accusations because I believe in an absolute God. Especially since you seem to equate belief in absolutes, with as you put it to Chris, "the mindless hatred of virulent racists.". You have certainly accused God of such things, why would you exempt His followers? You see, that's exactly what scares me about this sort of ambiguous legislation, it can, (and will) be used as a political hammer to bring conformity of thought. It's already been used in that manner in Europe where Pastors are forbidden to preach against homosexual acts as being sinful before a holy God, under threat of imprisonment. Is that the type of society that you want us to adapt? I don't find racists to be mindless at all, I find them evil, a concept you only seem to hold selectively, and generally define as those persons and ideas that disagree with you. As a matter of fact I find that Racists are more logically consistent evolutionists than you are. Wasn't the subtitle of Darwin's book "the most favored races" or something to that effect. If evolution is true why shouldn't they try to be the fittest? I'm not saddled with that bit of logical brain freeze because I don't have to defend evolution like you do.
