I will however cast my one vote to give you Quebec.
HA! I said Canada would be happy to give us Quebec. But will you pay us to take it? Eh?

There are strategic military reasons why Canada is better off not joining the states. Number one being the nuclear generators that are built in Canada that have been sent into orbit in violation of an international treaty.
No problemo. We'll deal with anyone who thinks it is.

Don't forget that last time you Yanks got it into your noodle to invade Canada you got whipped good.
Good. If you look at our wars, we always lose the first battle. And win the war.
(Hmm. Did we win the first battle in Vietnam? Maybe that was the mistake.)

What would you do with all those diamonds, potash oil and uranium?
Burn it, of course. Create pollution. More global warming. What else?
And as someone pointed out, Canada will be ideal when global warming hits because the US will be too hot.

You certainly don't know how to mine them. More Canadians head mining companies in the U.S. than Americans.
We have no intention on running you Canadians off. In fact we insist you stay. Good industrious people, well educated, hard working. If you leave, we'll hunt you down and bring you back.

How would American companies operate in Cuba if if it were not for lax Canadian corporation laws.
Again, no problem. There'll always be somewplace will to take $$$$ for the proper legislation. Look at Delaware.

Not to mention the best way to bank offshore is via a company with a Canadian address. Most U.S. politicians, lawyers and judges bank offshore so I don't think you'll find a huge cheering section for Canada joining the States.
Again, no problem. They'll be the ones passing te law to annex Canada, right? You think they won't have moved their money by then?
