Craig, you're playing stupid time games again. A three month chart of five stocks? What? Did you just ASSUME that I bought them all exactly three months ago, all at once?
Well, just to clarify things for you:
I've owned three of these stocks for six months or more and have added to all three this year (ELNK in Feb and Mar, SONE in Mar, WCOM this summer). Try a six month chart.

So, how have I done on the ones I've held for more than a few weeks? Yes, I'm down a little in WCOM, about 10% on average, but two of them are up over 50% (one around 70%) in six months. What's one 10% downtick with two like that?
What about Avici and E*Trade? Well, since I've only held them a few weeks (or days in the case of my latest Avici buy), your oh so clever three month chart has no relevance... unless... hmm... perhaps it does. Perhaps the fact that they are down so much has made them truly cheap (not just relative to their highs - I knew you were about to comment on that). Craig, that's why I bought them, you clown.
But since you are obviously concerned about my portfolio, I thought you'd want to know - I'm currently positive by 5.8% in AVCI and 1.7% in ET. Not big winners yet, but also not hurting a bit.
Anyway, Craig, I'm flattered that you have taken such an interest in my stock picks. Maybe I'll make things easier for you and just set up a public portfolio for you. That way you won't get confused again and make stupid assumptions about holding periods.
Then again, maybe I won't. |
