*OT* I find you sitting on an old conceit: the conceit that you have long known what is good and evil for humanity. What you really represent, however, is the resentment of those who are denied the real reaction, that of the creative deed, and who compensate with an imaginary revenge.
Whereas all noble morality grows out of triumphant affirmation of oneself, slave morality immediately says NO to what comes from outside, to what is different, to what is not oneself: and this NO is its act.
To be sure, every morality is a recipe for a certain type of man, an explication of a vision of what man might be.
The features you represent to me are: Resentment, an antagonism against excellence and difference, a predisposition in favor of mediocrity or even downright baseness.
The more you show your resentment and hatred, the more you show what a slave and bigoted sissy you are. |
