I was gonna post something from Titian, but none of his paintings really come through as jpegs.
How about these...
Venus de Urbino (Uffizi)

The Englishman. aka The man with the blue/green eyes. (Palazzo Pitti) --but I saw it in The Art Institute of Chicago... on a travelling exhibition with Raphaello's "Donna Velatta". Those eyes were so ... crystal clear and so penetrating, a real master piece. The rats would not allow me to photograph it, so here is second best, but it just does not show the eyes as they really are.

Here is an interesting detail...
How different artists (and even the same one --Titian) see the same subject...
First Titian...
Danae... the pretty one. (Capodimonte)

Another version, by Titian as well: (Museo del Prado)

And... then
Danae... (The Hermitage) painted latter ---definitively NOT the pretty one --she must have been hit by PMS, or similar {g}

Then by Rembrandt:

and by Correggio (Antonio Allegri)

This brings perhaps a question: Do we, (Men), see women as they really look like, or do we see them as we think our ideal is ?
** No need to answer that ** {g}
More Tiziano Vecellio (one of my favorites by the way)
Venus and Adonis (Museo Del Prado)

Look at this contrast...
Venus with a mirror (National Gallery Washington DC) Titian:

And same title, by Rubens (Vaduz)

Again, the original work is 100 times better and yes, they would not let me photograph it.

One more...
Sacred and Profane Love (Galleria Borghese)

[I know which one I would choose]

Another Flora, this one by Guisseppe Arcimboldo...

Signore Arcimboldo must have relatives in L.A. Because I have seen similar work there...

Now... to prove I do not look at these paintings because of the naked women... {g}
