Oh, come on, Scarceavian! It has been long accepted that academics and other self appointed intellectualia have striven to set themselves as ethical authorities in order to define morality in a relative non-deterministic way. This allows them blanket approval of their idiosyncracies and foibles of appetite, and some relief from unified or commonly held ethical doctrines. In other words if they are setting the standards of judgement and rules, they can leave holes in the moral fabric allowing them exit therefrom to get away with anything. The next thing you will hear from the hallowed ivory halls is that certain valuable thinkers should have special indulgence and dispensation to commit crimes of infamy as long as they retreat to the cathedral on campus. If they call morality peanut butter, I suppose the more "devilish than thou" professors of slime should be able to hide in the jar like nuts and be as rancid as week old butter in the sun. Of course I am not implying that you belong to such a depraved and untrustworthy lot. EC<:-}
