Hi Todd; The artical bears out what I'v been saying all along.
except they did not word it very clear for thoes who are not
internet savy..and it underestamates the total use only claiming
31 M..my rough estamate is 40 M...some how they don't keep up
with all the users that come on line with the independent ISPs.
------------------------------------------
While internet use is up, wehat they are saying ( roughly ) is
that the rate of people coming on line direct ( local independent
ISP ) is now over 4 to 1, above the people coming on line via
a service such as AOL, Compuserve..this is a big swing..and that
rate is on the upswing..Direct hook ups ( so many it's hard to
track them ) are stealing the Big market share now..people
prefer to know who it is providing the service, on a more personal
level than the big providers can ever achive, the benifits of having
your own local provider is becoming more and more known.
AOL sucks.
