Ray .. I knew what the stumpage set up is ... of course, here in my local region which is comprised of NE Tx, SE Ok, and S Ak there is ONLY managed timber land ... the virgin forests are long gone, and have been for a goodly time .... or at least in pine lumber which goes into the housing trade. Again, not to defend the tariff on the basis of "what was done", nor even to defend it at all ... but I can comprehend the feelings of folks who manage/own/lease hundreds of thousands of acres around here...... I do understand the "used to charge it" matter ..... Nemer
