A Look Behind the Analyst Curtain, Rob Roy,
Optionetics.com

The majority of the commentary that you read and hear about Friday’s
move is that it was merely short covering and that it is unsustainable. These feelings are
certainly reasonable and logical given the performance of the market in the past year;
however, from a contrarian point of view, this is also bullish. The herd is normally wrong and
the market will do everything it can to throw us off course. It is possible that we are entering
another one of those times.

Tuesday morning we
have the Consumer Confidence report, and this number is also going to move the
market. The Street wants to see signs that the consumer is hanging in there; any indication
that this is not the case will have a negative impact on stock prices.
