Hi Joan,
I know what you are talking of and appreciate it, have a lot of stories from that era to swap that I heard at the feet of parents and neighbors when I was a kid. And here we are, playing the game, ggg, but it IS the greatest game on Earth.

Might not just be Wall St getting desolate, not to sound overly dramatic, but the BKX broke down today:

885 was the line in the sand. It has one hope left, that gap at 870, otherwise maybe the gap at 810 or so.

That chart is due to be replaced soon, so take a look before it's gone.
