That's crazy - post 1982! - what were the likes of Buffett doing and making plenty of money at? I invest and trade. I wouldn't plan on holding Pacific Dunlop for a huge amount of time. A couple of years might do the trick... A mixture of trading and investing is good I think as a diversification strategy. But you probably don't like diversification either?
