TOKYO, Aug 28 (Reuters) - Tokyo shares are likely to open softer on Tuesday due to Wall Street's failure to extend its rally and continued worries about dwindling corporate profits at home.

But losses will be limited since investors are reluctant to sell heavily ahead of the release of key economic data including July industrial production figures on Thursday, traders said.
