According to a Yahoo poster gx_reports, following is a letter written by Gary Winnick to employees. Regardless of its authenticity, the three new offering are very compelling if it is true. It would take someone extremely knowledgeable to make something up like that.
1. IP VPN (virtual private network). It is the bread and butter of some global network providers.
2. VOIP(voice over IP).
3. Private lines for some 4,000 cities.
<<Gary Winnick's Letter to All Co-workers at Global Crossing and Asia Global Crossing
I don't remember when I first read it, maybe freshman English or even in high school, but the words have stuck with me: They come from the chronicles of William Bradford, leader of the pilgrims who crossed the Atlantic to their New World, nearly four hundred years ago.
As they made their crossing, day after harrowing day, no land in sight, the water beneath them took on a metaphorical meaning.
Bradford called it their "sea of troubles."
I think about that historic voyage when I consider our own global crossing, and the sea of troubles on which we sail today.
We all read the business pages and watch the financial news. There's no need to go through the litany when you're living it. Suffice it to say that in crisis, the only way out is opportunity. So it follows that we've got to make it our business to make sure the opportunities are ours.
Charting the course to a new world is never easy. Four years ago, when we announced our plans for the undersea cable, the wise men said, "it couldn't be done." We did it. And when we did it, the wise men were back - this time, lined up with checkbooks in hand. We gained a reputation as a company with a vision: A rule-maker in a world of rule-takers.
Today, as I did then, I know two things with total certainty.
The world wants global communications.
Someone will provide it -- and that someone is us.
The fact is, Global Crossing is on the threshold of introducing unique products and services into the market that will set the standard for telecom in the 21st Century.
We built a global optical network for a purpose: To create a powerful value proposition for our customers. Let me share with you - before our public announcements - three examples of a brand new value for services our network can now achieve.
First, in September, we will begin to offer a new IP VPN that will be the first of its kind in the world. More details will be coming out over the next few weeks, but I wanted to emphasize the most important point about this new service: It is the "killer app" for demanding corporate network users. We will provide them more functionality, at dramatically less cost. Incumbent carriers that are dependent on legacy networks and voice revenue will not be able to compete with us.
Our second advantage comes in Voice over IP (VOIP). We have already deployed the largest VOIP Platform in the world, and we're not done yet. Already, we are running more VOIP minutes than any other carrier in the world. We're going to change the game on pricing and on combining voice and data networks with this technology.
Third, with our core network complete, we can now offer private lines and other services between 4,000 city pairs. Because of our on-net advantage, these services can be offered at compelling pricing levels with provisioning speed no one can match.

I've just touched on the systems and services that make us unique in the global communications business, and will change the landscape of the entire telecom market. But I haven't touched on the asset that ensures our success.
I'm talking about the talent behind the technology:
Our people.
11,000 people around the globe. So diverse in terms of culture, history and heritage; so alike in terms of energy, imagination, determination and drive. You are the secret to our success. You are the reason we've made it this far. Guided by our talented and dedicated leadership team, Tom Casey, CEO, Global Crossing, and John Legere, CEO, Asia Global Crossing, we will move ahead to create more opportunities and realize greater accomplishments.
When you've finished reading this, I want you to take a moment and think back -- about why you joined our team. About the dream we share of building something larger than ourselves. About the progress we've made, and the potential ahead.
Together, we've built a company that's going to transform the 21st Century. My thanks to all of you for bringing us this far -- for being partners on a crossing that will change the way the world lives, works and communicates, forever.
