Toronto stocks to open flat as BOC warns, cuts rates

TORONTO, Aug 28 (Reuters) - Toronto stocks are expected to
open flat on Tuesday, after the Bank of Canada cut interest
rates by an expected 25 basis points and warned that the second
half would not be as rosy as expected.
"Since it said that, it seems like the Bank will be
entertaining further rate cuts," said Andrew Pyle, vice
president and senior financial markets analyst at Bank of Nova
Scotia.
