It is a matter of style I guess. And mine is to stand by and twiddle my thumbs as my opponent does himself in.

If you were playing chess, and your opponent was losing, but didn't see it clearly, the best tactic is to continue playing as if you couldn't see a thing.

I don't know. Maybe politics is more like poker than chess though.

If the republicans DID start talking about this issue, then they better do it with gentleness and humility . I didn't know this was even possible in the world of politics until I got to know George Bush.

See... I am afraid that Condit is only one man of many in congress who is dishonest . And you do know, don't you, that this isn't only true on ONE side of the isle? Sometimes restraint is the best policy.
