If you deducted a home mortgage, you too used a tax "loophole", one that is not available to business. This is why I am in favour of a simple, and hopefully FLAT tax. This is also why I am afraid that we will never see one. At least not for long. I would be willing to give up my home deduction and ALL OTHER deductions for a flat tax. The BEST way to make sure that 'the richest 1%' pay their fair share is to LOWER the percentage and SEAL OFF *ALL THE HOLES. Living up to my name, cAPSLOCK
