If the phones were to be introduced in September, suppliers would not have had an inkling about it in July.

We are going to have to agree to disagree. I believe that if a supplier is developing a new part for a new handset that they will need to have an idea of when the handset will begin volume production. Just because Nokia doesnt hold parts for more than thirty days does not mean that their suppliers dont have an idea of what orders are going to be like in three months.

FWIW....I think that the competitor that WitSoundview cited is SSB. It is my understanding that they have also talked about Nokia having an issue with GPRS signaling. JMO...but Nokia's IR would ALWAYS reiterate their most recent guidance if an individual investor called them.
