Heck. How much knowledge do you need to have in order to sneak up on them late at night, spray a full can of Raid at the nest, and then run like hell?

As for the small fries, they have the enormous benefit of diverting the attention of lots of the hornets away from you, reducing the number you have to evade. Be grateful to them, the make your job easier.
