It's already been used in that manner in Europe where Pastors are forbidden to preach against homosexual acts as being sinful before a holy God, under threat of imprisonment. Is that the type of society that you want us to adapt?
Would you want homosexuals to meet in a public place to preach that Christians are sinners (before a holy God)--thus demonizing you as a group, insulting your nature, and dismissing your human worth? Do you think that homosexual bigots might consider such preaching as giving them permission to hate or kill you, or a group of you. Being homosexual does not exempt you from having a screw loose does it?
Are Christians incapable of common courtesy, but must, rather, incite hatred against other groups? Do you think "preaching" against the moral equality of homosexuals is an innocent passtime? Again: would you like it done to you?
If you believe that humans ought to have basic rights to freedom from the oppression of others, then what is your objection to homosexuals being people? If you can preach that homosexuals are sinners and abnormal, then what about Moslems, Jews, atheists, etc.?
