Yeah, I bought HPLA at 12.50 late yesterday, it closed at 12.64 and went to 13.59 in AH on stellar earnings, plus it was announced brokers exercised their overallotment options at $11 last week. Today it opened at 12.31 and has run down as low as 9.90! I had loaded the boat so this nailed me good... and with the earnings & projections, it just makes no sense at all. In the past two years, Dec 99, Sept 00 and Oct 00 were my only losing months; I came through fire while gaining, and back then, I didn't even short. But May, June, July and Aug of 01 have been a consecutive disaster. I didn't really need the humility lesson either. (sigh) Ah well, it could be worse... I could be wearing braces. ;^)
