Have you noticed the LED traffic signals? yes... I actually worked for about a year with the guy (brilliant Phd at Agilent Labs) that made these devices possible (or much better). Funny story.. they turn on "so fast" that your brain will often think it sees a "white flash" when it switches from Yellow to Red. The SJ Merc even wrote a story about this yrs ago when San Jose started to put these in.
