squetch, Its my understanding that the main purpose of the European Phase II Type II diabetes trial is to generate initial clinical data that will be the basis for the mega deal. Since the trial was begun in March, the release of data and/or deal details should come out around the end of 3Q or beginning of 4Q for this year (the 3Q/4Q came from the Lehman Brothers report). I suspect that LGND does have the initial initial data (and I wouldn't be surprised if Lehman Brothers at least knows if there is translation of the mouse model data to humans). Persistant rumors indicate that WLA is one of the parties interested in doing a deal. I'm sure that there are more, although at this time, the field may be significantly narrowed. Henry
