Of great interest in the stats is the huge increase in access
from the workplace. Among other things this may have two
implications:

1)Dampen home subscription.
Why pay when you get it free at work, and at T1 speed?
And, increasing number of companies are giving workers remote
access to the corporate Internet connections for work-at-home
purposes. Brand Schmand. Free wins.

2)To the extent that newbies are gaining intro to online via
the net, the value of AOL's `ease of use' diminishes.
And, of course, people tend to continue with what they're
used to unless there's something compelling enough to motivate
change.
