I did hear mention of a "Labor Day" rally on CNBC. I guess they gave up on the summer rally. They did talk for a while of an Indian summer rally. How about a Thanksgiving rally? I read of an expected "Christmas holiday" rally earlier today. I can't imagine why a few foolish, misguided traders are so bearish, with consumers so eager to hold the economy up with their credit cards.
