Interesting Thread!!! I just wanted to recommend that anyone interested in short term trading take a look at a new thread we started called "From the trading Desk" It is in the Short Term traders section from the SI home page. I am hoping that short term players can ask the professionals a few questions about the market and market operations, not so much about particular stocks, although we would be glad to answer those questions as well.
