In this economic environment I think it's VERY prudent to worry about installed base going forward for IA 64...especially when you can get the same SPEC with a P4 2.0 at 1/7 the price of an Itanium not even counting the motherboard cost. It will be interesting...I bet Intel will choose to "emphasize the appropriate benchmarks" in order to push IA-64. SPEC ELmer won't mind... Jim
