How about this for a marketing campaign - does anyone know the clock speed at which things like the Cray and Thinking Machines run? I bet they run at a fairly low clock speed. So, how about splash ads with pictures of the famous Cray computer (you know, the one with the orange seats around the tower), with the text: "Cray xxx - 800MHz" across the page. Then, at the bottom, a message like "AMD: Supercomputing Performance for your PC".

I think something like this will get the message across in an entirely positive manner.
