I bid on an item at eBay. Prior to my bid, there were four bids. The highest bid was $66. The increment was $1. I put in my proxy bid at $100. My bid showed up as bid #5, not $1 higher but $12.50 higher.

I notice there are a million links about making and resolving complaints between buyers and sellers, but none I could find about contacting eBay about a malfunction in their site. Maybe I should write a letter.

No big deal. I was just testing their site to see if I wanted to bid on that $20 million photo of Abe.
