Saturn - Ah, your post brings back many memories of my beeper going off at 3 am with Schwab, Boeing, or some other 'BIG FIRM' on the line with an MVS I/O problem or dispatching problem that turns out happens only on a multi-cpu Sysplex when the moon is full and the temp is below 50 with several CP's trying to obtain a lock or update a piece of storage!!! I guess that's why my buddies at IBM still ask if I would like to come back when I talk with them. And even as solid as MVS is, as you say, I have seen bugs surface five years after a particular piece of system code has been updated/released.

Best regards,
John
