Too bad the Athon cache with its 16 way associativity will overflow after reading 17 words ! Wow the Athlon is so much better than Itanium ! I have lost count of major design wins for Itanium and Xeon. Did I hear of a single major server vendor using the Athlon. No server manufacturer seems to care about the 16 way associativity of the Atlon, despite the throw away price !
