GW may be shrewd too though he doesn't show it. Actually he'd have to be shrewd to get to where he is. And remember oil CEO's have experience in clandestinely affecting outcomes of elections in countries, that's part of their job overseas. Oil, military, CIA and other multi-nationals work together quite a lot of the time and the center of it all right now is Bush-Cheney. I think it was also very shrewed of Haley Barbour to get Phillip Morris to put up $1,000,000 in offshore funds to get out the military vote overseas. That fell outside US election laws. Didn't it? So if PM gave 1 million how much did Exxon, Chevron and others give? And what about the Saudis? They owed the Bush-Cheney team big-time. The Gulf War remember? Favors were called. Plans were made. Big Oil must have been salivating to get Bush-Cheney in the White House instead of Gore who has gone on record as saying we ought to wean ourselves off fossil fuels over time. So it worked, no one guessed until after it was over and everyone gained big-time except we the people, consumers world-wide and Gore. The Arabs may have also had a slight problem with a Jew as Vice President and 8 years of low oil prices. Figure it out. The dots connect very easily. |
