OK, seems I'm wrong: homepriceguide.com.au This is REALLY ridiculous. There are lots of if and buts in there but would rule out most property purchases of developed property as a part-time residence by people who don't have permanent residence status in Australia (citizenship is not needed). I suppose most of the Asian investors who bought apartments in Sydney, Gold Coast etc. bought "off the plan". David
