I was watching the stock price as it surged, then fell back sharply yesterday, so perhaps the market is catching up to the reality of this dilution. I would wait if I were you, though there's no guarantee it will fall to $4.00. I am more interested now in Chicken Kitchen (CKKC), a month-old chicken FF restaurant in Miami. Similar risks, but I like their concept and concentrated profitability.
I remain convinced that restaurant stocks will outperform as the economy strengthens and uneemployment stays low. Still, you really do need to visit these places to get a feel for the intangibles (e.g., cleanliness, atmosphere, taste) that will determine whether they have a chance to succeed in this competitive environment. |
