B: AcSys Biometrics and Graphco Technologies Set To Prevail In Surveillance
Marketplace

BURLINGTON, ON, Aug 29, 2001 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Nexus Group
International Inc. (NXS:TSE) announces that Graphco Technologies, Inc.
(G-TEC(TM)) and AcSys Biometrics Corp. (AcSys) have agreed to co-develop and
co-market a facial recognition solution specifically for the surveillance
marketplace.

This relationship will allow the principals to provide a comprehensive solution
to a vast array of issues surrounding the deployment of facial recognition
biometrics in this demanding environment. The solution will incorporate the HNeT
neural networking technology from AcSys. Neural networking is widely considered
to provide the best results for object recognition and extracting images from a
video stream. Using FaceTrac(TM), G- TEC brings expertise in "open systems"
integration of surveillance applications requiring the highest levels of network
security and secure access combined with the management of large databases. This
was successfully demonstrated by deploying the technology to enhance security
provided by the local law enforcement authorities during the last January's U.S.
football championship game at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

The details of the collaboration allows G-TEC to design and implement
proprietary solutions utilizing unique system architecture to address the
customer's performance requirements using building blocks from both companies.

"This first-of-its-kind collaboration brings the finest from each of our
companies together to provide best-in-class tools for any surveillance system
application. This will have a compelling return on investment for customers in
retail, real estate, and the corporate and industrial security markets, in
addition to our previous success in law enforcement," said Barry Hodge, vice
president of sales and marketing for G-TEC.

Acsys Biometrics is the leading provider of neural technology that emulates the
analytical processes of the human mind. AcSys Biometrics owns the exclusive
worldwide Holographic/Quantum Neural Technology (HNeT) license for face
recognition applications. The Face Recognition System (FRS) is designed to
recognize human faces in multiple applications under challenging environmental
conditions.

"We're very excited about the possibilities this provides our organizations.
Working with G-Tech will offer our customers, as well as their own, appropriate
solutions designed to meet their stated objectives," said Jerry Janik, president
of AcSys Biometrics.

FaceTrac is a broadly featured, readily customized, facial recognition software
system that can be deployed across a variety of scalable platforms. FaceTrac is
an open system that can facilitate the use of any facial recognition engine
enabling G-TEC to build customized solutions for any application. The system
surrounds the entire application in a secure network assuring the user the
highest levels of data security while still facilitating remote access.

"This relationship between our companies was created to provide end users with
technology that will integrate a wide range of customer response and support
resources. The flexibility gained by combining our technologies positions our
companies to fully satisfy the surveillance market needs." Added Cristian
Ivanescu, CEO of G-TEC.

AcSys Biometrics is a joint venture between NEXUS Group International Inc. and
AND Corporation, the inventor and developer of HNeT. AcSys is the leading-edge
provider of facial recognition through its exclusive worldwide license for face
and speech recognition based on its patented proprietary core software -- HNeT
-- with applications for the financial, manufacturing, security and medical
sectors. NEXUS is a Burlington, Ontario-based, organization focused on
leading-edge technologies. Its goal is to position itself as the leader in
biometric technology and other advanced fields. NEXUS trades on the Toronto
Stock Exchange as NXS.

G-TEC (www.graphcotech.com) is an advanced technology and systems development
company focused on being a leading provider of secure access, biometric
identification (face and voice), surveillance and secure data hosting solutions.
Our mission is to provide security and secure access for our customers while
protecting data, information, communication and individual privacy.
