08:50 ET Comverse Tech (CMVT) 28.55: -- Update -- USB Piper Jaffray downgrades to NEUTRAL from Buy; says visibility is decreasing and backlog weakening. 08:48 ET Crude Report : Crude oil futures climbing 1.8% following last night's API report of a sharp drop in U.S. gasoline inventories. Gas inventories fell 6.8 mln barrels vs expectations of a roughly 2 mln barrel draw down ahead of the Labor Day weekend. Inventories now 2.7% below yr-ago levels. 08:42 ET Conexant (CNXT) 12.06: Photronics (PLAB) to purchase manufacturing assets relating to the photomask operations of Conexant. In a separate agreement, companies enter multi-year supply agreement under which PLAB will become the primary supplier of photomasks to CNXT.
