My rebuttal is that AMD's frequencies are primarily due to their ability to tweak process settings, since they only have to propagate changes in their process through their single fab in Dresden (I don't think they are pursuing the same tweaks in their Austin fab). Intel, on the other hand, is bound by their copy-exactly philosophy, which becomes a requirement if they want to micro-manage several facilities.

In the interests of being fail I must point out your statement isn't correct. Intel has run a separate process line to boost CuMine binsplits in the past. I won't go into detail but it was done. Why? For the same reason AMD is doing it now. Desperate times call for desperate measures. If some poor deranged individual is claiming it makes AMD's process superior then just chock it up to ignorance on his part and move on.
