Christopher, that if you did read that paragraph of penni's with understanding, that
understanding might transfer to your remarks in that case.


Not so much the uniformity, I think, as the intensity. I certainly didn't expect the remarks to be applauded, but equally I had had no premonition that what were basically off the cuff comments tossed out in the middle of a flame war, not carefully drafted and thought out posts, were taken so seriously and so negatively.

Maybe our next book for discussion here should be "Men are from Mars . . ." or something in the same vein which discusses in a scientifically valid way the differences between male and female thinking. I've read reviews of the book, but never actually read it. I'm also familiar with some of the research into the physical aspects of brain differences, MRI studies and the like, but I haven't read much at all in the actual on-the-ground, as it were, consequences of those differences. Certainly something I could stand to learn more about.
