RE:"All us Intel investors just sit around and post lies and deception to get the stock price up, just like the company we invest in, right?"

Well, there is a fair amount of FUD from the likes of some Intel faithful. OTOh, that's not what I was refering to...seems your solution is for AMD just to fold the tent. Which would be great for Intel investors.

RE:"Sometimes I think you honestly believe this, and are completely blind to the fact that AMD is at a disadvantage right now, causing them to come up with lame-brain ideas in a desperate attempt to continue their previous climb into glory. The problem is that it's too late. With their careless boasting and desire to be Virtual Intel, they woke the sleeping gorilla, and now they will have to live with the consequences."

Huh? I saw this coming a year ago. MHz sells (TM-McMannis) has been around for years. I knew the P4 would scale and it would sell...despite performance. I also knew that if AMD sat on their hands the P4 would scale to the point it caught up in performance.
Intel hit a low with Rambus back with the i820, Timna and intro of P4 (stuck to Rambus)...they have been putting the pieces back ever since.
Meanwhile Jerry has been lighting cigars, delaying and selling stock. Any advantage they had to make hay has evaporated...
AMD should have seen the P4 coming at least 2 years ago...and instead of laughing at it's ipc, made provisions against it's ability to scale and sell because of it....

Jim
Since then they have been scrambling.
