no one would argue with you that p4-2GHz is fast.
I asked an IT guy at work about relative speeds between processor and the answer was that p4-2GHz is more than 40% faster. I asked about what exactly does that mean to which he said that it simply means that it would take 40% less time to complete my programs on p4-2GHz than on a-1.4.
was he right?
He was one of our IT people who should know what performance is.
