Well for AMD it takes a whole lot longer.

I have been waiting for AMD to push DDR onto laptops via Athlon 4.

After many moons they are nowhere in sight.

Such a product should be compelling:

Higher Performance.
Lower Power due to DDR lower signal voltages.
Higher Mhz to support product differentiation.

But ZIPPO products and No Buzz of anything.

This crummy performance is a microcosm of AMD's spectacularly BAD inability to deliver products quickly to take advantage of an opportunity.

Of course it could be part of some top secret program at AMD HQ - run by the department that is stockpiling high Mhz Palmonino's.
