Okay, facts please.
What facts have I twisted?
brees posted on BR using quotes from the literary sauna discussion in which I participated. He didn't quote me. He quoted you. He quoted E. He quoted Rambi, but erronously, should have cited E.
I corrected him on the Rambi misquote and set him straight.
I then told him, the complete text of the post, "You should post your post over there and see what emerges."
Now, what facts did I misrepresent?
Or are you referring to the homophobia charge against jla?
There, I said you accused him "in part" because he didn't refute a post. That is simple fact. When he asked you to document your basis for the charge against him, that is one specific thing you cited.
Now, what "facts" am I misrepresenting? Please be specific.
As to losing your respect, well, at least I have my self-respect, which in the end is the most valuable kind of respect to have. If I'm going to lose the respect of somebody who considers me "intellectually dishonest" and "desperate" because I didn't refute a post that didn't involve me in the first place, well, I guess that person's respect wasn't worth a great deal in the first place.
Edit: It may have been neocon that you were referring to instead of jla for now refuting a post made by aj. I'll do more research, but it's possible I was in error about the person you were referring to. But not about the principle.
