Bob,
Don't know how deep you get into Biblical prophecy, but have you seen the uproar that has been caused by the revealing that there is a reported "red heifer" in Israel? For those that don't know, they have been apparantly trying to produce a red heifer (comes from a white and a black parent) for hundreds of years. Story goes that right before the end of the age when Christ returns, the Temple will be rebuilt, and they have to have a red heifer for sacrifice. Apparantly, this announcement has many worried that it could cause war because of the perceived necessity of many Jews to start rebuilding the Temple (the Dome of the Rock, I believe, sits where the original Temple was). So, some have now come out to discredit the validity of the red heifer, saying it has some white ends on its eyelashes, etc. Don't know, but interesting.
I think you are correct in the scanner, etc., although the actual implantation (ie. pet IDs) is possible, and will become even more micro. What I find unbelievable, is how the world at large can see the uncanny line-up of events which fit so perfectly with how the Biblical prophecies tell the end of the world as we know it, and yet ignore or dismiss it. John, Daniel, and the other prophets were writing of future events that had NO meaning then. God even told Daniel to "seal up the book", and that no one would understand it until it was near that endtime. Only in the last few years, can any interpretation be made of these writings because we have technologies that do make sense of what they wrote. I don't think everyone is stupid, I just think they pay no attention to what makes them uncomfortable. For those of of us who truly understand, it is very comforting indeed -- makes this trial of IMMM pale in comparison.
Now I'll climb off my box. Let's hope for some news soon to shut up the naysayers. I do think we are stuck here until meltdown or blastoff, unless real news is leaked to someone with deep pockets. It's an all or nothing bet, as it has always been.
