Hi DWB, I can't recall what chain of links I followed, but in the desolation of the techwreck, Global Crossing is interesting to me, [amusingly, each time I type Global Crossing I have to delete a few letters because Globalstar automatically comes out of my fingers - I wonder if that is not a good omen].

I became very interested in fibre optics way back in 1988 in Belgium and especially after visiting San Diego Engineering School at UCSD in 1999 and seeing laboratories and laboratories full of lasers and optics.

I'm only roughly aware of what Global [not star] Crossing does but I do know the market capitalisation has taken a huge pounding and there is concern about debt and just when the cash flow and bottom line will be looking good. Shades of Globalstar.

I'm a fully-paid fan club member of cyberspace and vast demand to come for the fibresphere. I have no idea which companies will make how much or when that might be, but I am sure that demand will be huge.

I am thinking I might make a fortune!

PS: I am aware I have got an unanswered post from you in the GGMDM thread... I think I will get to it one of these days... sorry for the delay [I accidentally got into that Pope stuff with a careless comment - but did learn some things as a result].
