Geez wayde, you said a mouthful...this is what I do for a living and I barely understood. For those technical laymen...like myself...the daily, weekly, and monthly macd still point higher. Relative strength is good for all of the above charts as well. The weekness over the last few days could be attributed to a lot of various things perhaps even triple witching. This VQX options, while not actively traded, do attract converters and this does have an effect at TW. Most of the trading recently has been from weak hands to strong and that is why the base has been established here. The stock could finish at 25 today because that is an option strike price. Stocks trend toward the strikes at expiration. Even though there is no 27 1/2 strike the stock could just as easily finish there as it is exactly the midpoint between the 25 and 30 strikes.
