Tom / All re: stupor disk ad campaign

A Q or two ago KE said that they were keeping a very close watch on any and all competition. At that time, KE said there was no one able to ship in quantity, but he warned, "We are watching closely and we will take appropriate steps to deal with any competition when and if it emerges." (close enough for quotes, I think)

Seems to me that the Stupor ad campaign is the perfect opportunity for KE to backup his words. All kinds of eye-catching graphics, graphs, and witty-cutting-tongue-in-your check==finger-in-their-eye comments spring to my mind. I would hope that the folks pulling in the six figure incomes to produce IOM ads could come up with some even better and more effective stuff. The result should be that LS owners become too embarrassed to admit it!

I liked IOM early on because of their take-no-prisoners-we-intend-to-own-the-market approach. Sort of like the 98 pound weakling kicking sand in the big guys' eyes and then being able to back it up. With their rigged preformance comparison, Imation is giving IOM a huge club to beat them with.

As a stockholder, I want KE and crew to accept that club and use it to its full advantage.

(as a 60's boomer-type - I want them to beat the hell out of them in the market with love in their heart and an acceptance of their competitor's basic humanity ;-] )
