Unfortunately whatever our thoughts on hunting we need it for population control, and it needs to be regulated thus a Dept of Conservation.

We continue to build into animals areas and the natural predation cycle has been destroyed. It's been consistently proven that hunting is the best way, given the point we are at, to control population and disease. Most of the funding for the depts etc comes from sales of licenses and special taxes paid by sportsmen. I guess that I will agree to disagree with you on this one:)
