Thanks for giving me more reasons for diversifying" I think it's important to understand what diversification is... Intel is merely diversifying into other areas of computer tech. They are still not diversified because the whole sector has been hit. Now if they were into some completely different sector like oil then they would be truely diversified. I'm afraid, however that there will be no where to hide but cash...like Dan Boy Niles says... Intel is no different than anyone else...they just have to pull in the reigns and ride it out. There will always be causualties and layoffs... Like you said, plenty of dot.com forclosures. Your mistake though is thinking you will somehow be immune to it... I know, I've been there. I also retired to sip umbrella drinks in the Bahamas...that ain't everything either.. Jim
