O'Rourke wrote the preface for the 25th anniversary edition of Fear and Loathing. Thompson rejected it, saying that it was a nice commentary and he enjoyed reading it, but everything O'Rourke said about the book was wrong. They both like to bend the elbow, maybe they're just drinking buddies.

You don't cut Thompson much slack, do you? <g>
