I called NECX and they confirmed that the prices will be honored even if they are erroneous. They're pretty low on stock. They have 23 EIDE's and 4 SCSI (according to their computer--the rep said it may be lower).

Since that's about $120 cheaper than I've seen anywhere else ($349), I think that it's just a pricing error. Even used ones typically go for $300 or so. I'm tempted to buy some and resell them, but I sure wouldn't want to get stuck with them! ;)

I would buy one for myself (at that price, it is a better value to me than the Jaz) but I would want an external model and those aren't mispriced. I'm happy with my Zip for now, and will probably just wait for a higher capacity Jaz to come out.

Compatibility with other users is less important on larger drives. I would never even consider an EzFlyer, at any price. [IMHO]
